Chia seeds and white gondh drink recipe

The following chia and gondh recipe will help to make your bones strong and also to recover faster from bone injuries or pain.

  • You can buy 100 grams of chia seeds (‘Sabja’ in Hindi) and gondh (‘Gond’/’Dink’ in Hindi/Marathi), to begin with.
  • Put 1 spoon of chia seeds in half a glass of water and soak them for 2 hours.
  • Grind 100 grams of white gondh in a mixer, make powder, and store it.
  • Add one spoonful of white gondh powder in it and soak for 2 hours.
  • One may further add these into a glass of cow milk/soymilk/almond milk/oat milk.
  • Instead of milk, add these ingredients to carrot/pomegranate/any other homemade fruit juice.
  • You can also add a little bit of rose syrup/conserve rose petals (‘Gulkand’ in Hindi) to enhance its flavor.

Nutrition:

  • One ounce of chia seeds contains 18% of the daily amount of calcium. Calcium is essential in bone nourishment and helps to gain bone strength and mass. 
  • Chia seeds are the source of boron, which is important for metabolising calcium, magnesium, manganese, and phosphorus for healthy bones and muscles.
  • Gondh is essential in lubricating the joints and reduces joint pain.
