Brown Bread Recipe

Baking experiment: Brown Bread π
Turned out soft and crusty!
πΎ Ingredients for 2 loaves:
- Wheat flour made for baking β 0.5kg
- Yeast β 1TB
- Tepid water to dissolve yeast β 325ml
- Sunflower seeds β 1TB
- Olive oil β 2TB
π₯― Process:
- Mix the ingredients and knead it thoroughly. π₯£
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth for 1.5 hours. πΉ
- Split the dough in half. πͺ
- Shape each piece into a rectangle and place it on a flour-dusted tray. Sprinkle some flour on the dough as well. π₯
- Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes at 180Β°. π½οΈ
- Apply butter on top to make the crust soft. {optional} π₯ͺ
Tip: It is believed that salt and sugar should not be mixed with yeast because it reduces the chances for the dough to rise. Hence one can add them later to the dough.
